INNOZH

INNOZH is a non-profit association dedicated to animal health research, acting as a bridge between science and the practical needs of industries. As a:

  • French Center for Technological Resources (CRT), we provide technical and scientific support to professionals and industries based in the Brittany region, France, in the animal and agri-food sectors.
  • International Veterinary Contract Research Organization (CRO), we conduct independent and neutral clinical and preclinical studies worldwide, ensuring objective and rigorous results for global partners in animal health and biotechnology.

An active member of European consortia and organizer of scientific congresses (such as the International Symposium on Salmonella & Salmonellosis and the One Health Congress), INNOZH is committed to uniting stakeholders around global health challenges. Our mission: to connect academic research with industry needs, free from conflicts of interest, for responsible and sustainable innovation.

By organizing international scientific events such as the 2nd One Health Congress in 2026, INNOZH reaffirms its role as a catalyst between research and industry. Our mission is to help create spaces for dialogue where scientists, industry professionals, and public decision-makers can exchange ideas, innovate, and move forward together.

As an independent association, we uphold a demanding vision: research that serves everyone, free from bias or conflicts of interest. Our events embody this ambition: to unite expertise in addressing global health challenges, with rigor and openness.

ANSES - French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety

As a scientific expert appraisal agency, the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES) provides the scientific guidelines needed to protect humans from health risks associated with food, the environment and the workplace, as well as to prevent risks to animal and plant health. It monitors and assesses these health risks, and devotes research activities to them. It operates within an exacting ethical framework and through dialogue with stakeholders. It therefore helps advance scientific knowledge to support public decision-makers – and more broadly anyone involved in these risks – including during health crises.

ANSES is accountable to the French Ministries of Health, Agriculture, the Environment, Labour and Consumer Affairs. The Agency draws on the expertise of its scientists and some 800 external experts that it mobilises in its expert groups. It also has a network of nine reference and research laboratories spread over 16 geographical sites in France that have achieved European and international recognition in their areas of competence.

ANSES is the French « One Health agency ».

All key questions that society has to deal with transit through our everyday work:
« Are the water we drink and the food we eat safe? How does climate change impact our health? How should we use pesticides in agriculture? Is there a risk of a new pandemic? »

Permanent multidisciplinary challenges feed the mind and stimulate the ideation of solutions that we develop with national and international partners.

Core Values & Commitments

ANSES’s missions encompass
animal and plant health,
food safety, and
environmental risks.
The One Health approach is therefore an integral part of its work.

In order to break down scientific barriers to health approaches, the scientists working at the Agency and those consulted for its expert committees are drawn from a
wide range of backgrounds.

Many of the themes covered by the Agency, and many of the partnerships promoted by ANSES involve
One Health. They include:

🦠
Zoonoses
🧬
Antimicrobial resistance
🦟
Pathogens transmitted by vectors
🌡️
Health effects of climate change
🔬
Exposomic issues
🌱
Plant health
🐝
Bee health

Applying the One Health approach requires the use of
big data: ANSES has therefore launched several projects to cross-reference data collected on
human and animal health and on the
environment.
